About the Book

Jimmy Star Two Fingers lives on the fringes of society. Running marijuana up and down the American Southwest has become a way of life. Along the way he has made friends. He's made enemy's. He's even picked up a chihuahua named Snoop along the way. Jimmy Star Two Fingers is just like anybody else. He has hopes, dreams, and aspirations. Growing up an Army brat and losing his mother at a young age did little for Jimmy's self esteem. He was never anywhere long enough to make any real friends. And when he did, it didn't last. In and out of the brig, and jail, Jimmy's troubled youth led him to the mean streets of Omaha, and St. Louis. It is here that he meets Nathan who takes him under his wing and teaches him the ins and outs of what he liked to call 'Moving Contraband. The Inside Outlaw is a tale of the everyday life of a modern day Outlaw. Jimmy can handle himself in a fight or in a deal gone bad. But he is getting older now. The game has changed and he's worried life is leaving him behind . A timely vehicle breakdown brings him in Demry, Arizona, an old mining town long past it's prime. Here he meets Claudette Burns, a life long outspoken resident of Demry. Jimmy and Snoop accompany her to the town picnic. It's here that bikers, miners, bake sales, senior citizens, children, lost love, old friends, and new friends collide with Jimmy's past, present, and future in a tale that will leave you begging for more!
About the Author: I'd like to tell you a romantic tale of coming from a tumbled down shack, rising quickly to meteoric fame, only to crash back down to the earth again. But my life hasn't been like that. Although at times it may have felt like that! I grew up an east coast city kid. Normal life, normal family, normal problems. Yeah, you know, boring. But boring didn't sit so well with me. So when I was eighteen I stuck out my thumb and hitched around the country for a few months. Once I saw the west, particularly the southwest I was hooked! I spent some time living in Santa Fe, New Mexico where my love and career choice of cooking really flourished. After that it was thirty years in the high rocky mountains in Crested Butte Colorado. It was here that my real love of the outdoors began. Decades of skiing, fishing, backpacking, mountain biking, climbing, rafting, and making wonderful friends and family finally ran it's course. Mostly we couldn't take the cold anymore. I now live in the quiet little desert town of Sedona Arizona. where my love of the outdoors and the Southwest continue. My wife and I travel to South East Asia every year, and make a home in Thailand for a few months. There we explore the surrounding country's cultures, architecture, history, geography and language. But it is really the people that keeps us going back. Oh yeah, and the food! Writing has been a lifelong passion also and I'm gald I finally made the commitment to bring it to the next level. Life continues to be an adventure. Go out and get some!! See you around. Please visit me @douglaseagen.com
