About the Book
The idea for Inside The Minds Of Entertainers came to me one night in a dream. It was the night of January 16, 2017...Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. You will be intrigued, entertained and quite possibly surprised by many of the answer revealed by the entertainers you thought you knew. Some answers are funny, some are serious, some are right "off the cuff", no holds barred!I probe deeper than the average interview. I explore the minds of 22 celebrities. I wanted to know answers to 10 specific political, spiritual, and philosophical questions: The 10 questions are as follows: 1.What is the purpose of life?2.What is your purpose in life?3.What is a soul/spirit?4.Can you please describe your soul/spirit?5.If you believe, how would you describe the higher power?6.How would you describe America's current political state?7.What can be done to improve world race relations?8.How does President Donald J. Trump's current political agenda affect the world?9.What is your outlook on the future of mankind?10.If you believe in an after-life, please describe what it is.In the process of finishing this book, one of my interviewees passed away...Mr. Cuba Gooding, Sr.. It was a shock to the world, but especially to me. He had just submitted his answers to my interview questions less than three weeks prior to his passing. He was happy, full of energy, and excited about my book and his life. Actually, he was almost more excited about my book than I was. My interview may have been one of the last, and in my opinion, most important interviews of his life. I hope the questions brought him closer to God. His answers to my questions about life, soul, spirit, and God take on a whole new meaning, now that he has passed. I dedicate this book to his memory. He made a great impact on me with his support for this book. The other celebrities interviewed include Alan King (DJ), Antoine McKay (Actor), Art "Chat Daddy" Sims (Media Personality), B. Cole (Comedian), Bobby Hutton (Legendary Singer), Chris Jasper (Legendary Singer/Isley Brothers), Christopher Nolen (Film Producer), Cory Taylor Talent Mgmt/SWV), Curtis McClain (House Music Singer), Cynda Williams (Actor/Author), Damon Williams (Comedian), Darrell "Sax Preacher" Wilson (Saxophonist), De'Andre "Blaq Ice" Hawthorne (Poet), Ilunga Adell (TV/Film Producer), Jackie Taylor (Actor), James "D Train" Williams (Singer), Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Actor), Linda Clifford (Legendary Singer), Rick Sizemore (Singer/Magnum Force), Robert Williams (Legendary Club Owner), Runako Jahi (Director/Playwright/Actor), and the foreward was penned by Ambassador Oscar J. Webb, Jr., International Goodwill Ambassador and Co-founder, African Global Heritage Foundation. Two other legendary individuals that I wanted to interview, DJ Frankie Knuckles (January 18, 1955 - March 31, 2014) and DJ Herb "Herbie Baby" Kent (October 5, 1928 - October 22, 2016) were deceased, so I asked their estates if a designated close friend of each, whom I had chosen, would be able to speak on their behalves, but both estates declined to participate. No worries. No problem. I respect the fact that some individuals didn't want to publicly speak about their political and religious beliefs. Actually, I was pleasantly shocked at how many were eager to give their opinions and answers to my questions. Some of them didn't hold their tongues either, like legendary R&B singer Linda Clifford and ground-breaking tv/film writer-producer Ilunga Adell. Just wait until you read their responses! So, with no further ado, sit back, relax, and join me on this exploration Inside The Minds Of Entertainers.Thank you for your patronage.Stay blessed.Peace!
