As an author, my writing has always been about raw emotion and clear purpose. Growing up, I sought refuge in the pages of sci-fi and fantasy, but as someone grappling with dyslexia and ADHD, many of these tales felt out of reach. They were too intricate, too bound by rules, stifling rather than fueling my imagination.
And let's not forget the glaring absence of characters who looked or loved like me in those stories. It was isolating, to say the least. But instead of dwelling on the limitations, I made it my mission as an artist to celebrate diversity and break down barriers.
