Aufgabe der Unternehmen ist es, diesen Wandel zu begegnen. Mit Innovationen den veränderten Kundenwünschen gerecht werden und die Zukunftsfähigkeit des Unternehmens zu beweisen, gehört zu den anspruchsvollsten Herausforderungen eines Unternehmers. Dieser Problemstellung muss mit einem systematischen Innovationsmanagement begegnet werden. Die betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung hat in der Vergangenheit einige Konzepte zur Entwicklung neuer physischer Produkte hervorgebracht. Für die Entwicklung innovativer Dienstleistungen allerdings fehlt es bisher an brauchbaren praxiserprobten Systemen. Das ist um so erstaunlicher als das etwas 2/3 der Bruttowertschöpfung im Dienstleistungsbereich erbracht werden . Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Fragestellung, wie Innovationen im Dienstleistungsbereich für Senioren entwickelt werden könnten. Im zweiten Abschnitt begründen die begrifflichen Grundlagen der Bereiche Innovation, Dienstleistung, Management und Senioren deren wachsende Bedeutung. Das normative und strategische Management bilden wichtige Rahmenbedingungen in den Unternehmen für die Entwicklung innovativer Dienstleistungen. Diese Ausgangspunkte der Strategieplanung werden im dritten Kapitel untersucht. Zentrale Punkte des vierten Abschnitts bilden die Generierung und Bewertung neuer Ideen für neue Dienstleistungen einer stetig wach
