About the Book

I don't feel just ranting on the page works anymore, as there's just too much tech pizzazz to be utilized now; for example, Howard Stern rants into the microphone, but he's able to use a circus of sound effects and guest interviews to make it come alive. So instead of just literary freedom movement rhetoric, I provide snapshot characters and dialogue moments to bring home the message, which is, in essence the artist's job. Marcus is the usual main character; along with his wife or girlfriend. He's either a Substitute Teacher, a waiter, commercial painter, delivery driver or an indoor / outdoor Plant Technician. He's in his mid to late twenties, eitherstill attending college or just graduated. He has his Third Eye open, and he's always venting to a friend or wife or girlfriend. From Disneyland to Jim Morrison, technology or the weakness of Indian Writers, Dannov gets In the Ring and means to fight.
About the Author: David Mark Dannov graduated with a Creative Writing Degree from CSULB in 1994. He's been a waiter, commercial painter, Landscaper, pizza delivery driver, valet, Caterer, Plant Tech, gardener, Rehabilitation Specialist (Job Coach), Pet Photographer, Banquet Server, Substitute Teacher and ESL Teacher (living and teaching English for almost seven years around the world, including Saudi Arabia). He's been published by Chiron Review and Outside Writer as a featured poet, including Pearl, Tears in the Fence, Edit Red, Emerging Edge Publishing, Poet Plant Press, Clinicality Press: An Anthology of Writing with Guts, Pooka Press, The Poetry Warrior, Bottle of Smoke Press, Black Spring Press, Black Cross Magazine, Hay Wire Press, The Brown Bottle, Peaky Hide, Relationships And Other Stuff: True Stories About Relationships Paperback - August 19, 2009, The EXQUISITE CORPSE, A.C. Papa, the GNU, Detritus Books, Concrete Meat Sheet (7), Poetry Super Highway, and several other miscellaneous poetry magazines. In 1999, he won the Lucid Moon Poetry Contest for an earlier version of his poem entitled, There Are So Many Canyons and Valleys in the Skin of an Orange. Two early excerpts from his novel, Awake were published in a Paul Krasner book entitled: Mushrooms and Other Highs, Toad Slime to Ecstasy, which came-out in 2003. In the time he'd first attempted to write this book, he was experimenting with painting, sculpting and drawing. You can see some of his drawing efforts in this book, as they're copies from his journals; framed in black. In his early thirties, David was involved in a few music projects; his most cherished from a band called, Fossil Face. He was the singer, songwriter and bass player of the trio. A few songs from the album called, Blackwood Universe was aired on KPFK's, The Music Never Stops. He also did a solo album (The Last American) with Tom Larosa a year later; all his music can be heard if you contact his email at: davidmdannov@gmail.com or go to his Music Cloud at https: //soundcloud.com/joshua-knight-599282479 . Most of his books are available in print through Create Space. To read various work from David Mark Dannov online go to https: //wordpress.com/view/windandwoodwhistlesmusic.wordpress.co
