Le présent document montre qu'au contraire, la réservation en ligne et la gestion des recettes se complètent parfaitement. En particulier, des algorithmes légers sont utilisés pour élaborer une politique de prix qui peut et doit être utilisée par les gestionnaires d'hôtels de petite taille. L'ingénierie des prix est basée à la fois sur une demande simulée suivant une distribution de Poisson et sur la politique de prix des hôtels 2 étoiles concurrents à proximité de la place Vrijthof, à Maastricht. Une analyse de régression est utilisée pour déterminer la relation entre les prix des concurrents et les variables indépendantes quantitatives et qualitatives choisies pour ce modèle. L'algorithme léger présenté dans ce document utilise des progiciels facilement accessibles tels que Microsoft Excel, des outils de simulation et des sites de réservation en ligne. L'approche choisie ajoute une nouvelle dimension à la gestion des actifs, enrichissant et améliorant ainsi le processus de décision managériale.
