This textbook, organised into two parts and comprising 20 chapters, maintains the fundamental concepts of industrial relations and labour legislation in a chronological order. The text apprises the reader with the intricacies of the various concepts, theories, tools and techniques, approaches, methods, legislations and interventions and other concerned mechanisms that are relevant to the maintenance of good industrial relations. R.C. SHARMA, Ph.D., Founder Vice Chancellor, Amity University Haryana (AUH), is presently Professor Emeritus, Amity Business School (ABS), AUH and Advisor to Additional President, RBEF. He has been the Founder Director of a number of Institutes of management and technology, including TRC Institute of Management, Yamuna Nagar, Amity School of Business Studies, Manesar, Gurgaon, and Kedarnath Aggarwal Institute of Management, Charkhi Dadri. He has been honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award by the Confederation of Indian Universities (CIU), Commonwealth of Vocational Education and Research (COVER), and the International Association of Educators for World Peace (IAEWP) for his outstanding contribution in the area of Educational Planning and Administration. Besides, Dr. Sharma has also been felicitated with several prestigious awards, including Best Achiever of India Award, Twentieth Century Excellence Award and Best HR Academician in HRM Award.
