A modo de epígrafe

Escribí algunos papeles en el pasado, como todos los que nos dedicamos a esto, a pelar la pava. La mayoría de ellos prescindibles, aunque no del todo magallanes o irrelevantes, atributo dudoso que hoy los haría sin duda alguna susceptibles de ser publicados. Otros, en cambio, no lo fueron tanto, por lo menos en mi pequeña cosmogonía literaria. Los escritores tenemos una relación incómoda con nuestro pasado y decimos cosas como: vaya mierda, que naif, qué impúdico, con todas sus partes a la vista, toda la maquinaria grosa que exige el oficio.

No obstante, en algunos de esos libros he encontrado todavía tímidas señales de vida, unos pocos y poco articulados viejos mensajes, los fósiles de épocas pasadas, como los restos óseos tehuelches en Puerto San Julián, una playa remota y solitaria al norte de Gallegos, Península Valdés, las voces de otros tiempos que se han ido literalmente al carajo.

Por ese motivo, y sólo por eso, he decidido rescatar del cajón ( en mi caso un baúl tibetano lacado en negro con la figura dorada de un león infantil) tres libros:
El primero (Incunables I"El pensamiento salvaje") viene de los setenta y no habla de la ciencia del neolítico sino de una dictadura (la uruguaya). Y lo hace, contra los hábitos del momento (los panfletos y los volantes) para levantar juego y desde el élan de los los nuevos filósofos, que fueron un chute de anfetaminas para los que estábamos en el asunto. Una postura algo más segura y acomodada que hacer pintadas o pegar carteles con engrudo pero, en cualquier caso, bastante expuesta. En esos tiempos las FC, aunque no pareciesen muy duchas en aquello de estructuras susceptibles de ser formalizadas, te rompían el orto por cualquier cosa, y uno andaba -nunca mejor dicho- con el culo a dos manos.

El segundo (Incunables II Hamburguer Hamlet), es el resultado de un choque violento, pero todavía cultural, con la singular episteme de los ochenta, pero vista desde una óptica rigurosamente personal y muy poco filosófica ( mi estilo ya empezaba a tomar su forma definitiva después de las primeras medrosas y casi imperceptibles mutaciones).

El tercero (Incunables III 1984) es un Diario (el de 1984, como ya habrán imaginado), una especie de Orwel ajourné o pasado por agua, el diario de un año al pedo en un apartamento de Princesa 3 dpdo, (con vistas a la puesta de sol en Casa de campo, Alberti en el piso de arriba, y Banderas y Poncela rondando por los ascensores, justo antes de su escrache y posterior divague). Libro excesivamente subjetivo que me lleva a la conclusión de que más o menos toda la literatura es un asunto de tipos que están solaris, que la gente no entiende nada, y que el resto -llámese novela o como a usted o a su editor se le cante- es solo marketing, y la lectura al uso, un entretenimiento más, como el Ludo o el Scrable, y que (Borges) ya lo sabía, pero no dijo nada.

Y la pregunta que nos hacemos es ¿por qué hacer ahora, tres o cuatro décadas más tarde, la exhumación de los restos de estos tres paquetes?, ¿por qué no dejarlos dormir el sueño de los justos en su jonca tibetano y colgarlos por las patas en el secadero de la Red, Amazon, KDP, la Europeana Collections... o la concha de tu hermana? ¿Por tacañería, por marroquero, por sacarle dos mangos al menorá y a las bombachas kosher 1943 de la abuela? ¿Por vanidad, por hacerte un Montoto y poner allí donde antes no había nada un famoso escritor desconocido, como le gusta a algunos?...
