INAYAT KHAN: Life & Poems Translation & Introduction Paul Smith Inayat Khan (1882-1927) was born in Baroda into one of the most musical families in India. He showed exceptional musical talent and had a beautiful voice and was noted for his exquisite veena playing. He became absorbed in spirituality and read sacred books with great devotion and composed masnavi poems, translated in this book. During his spiritual searchings he met Mohammed Abu Hashim Madani, a Sufi Master and spent the next four years absorbing the heart and soul of his teaching.
