About the Book

In this funny, poignant new novel from Nigel Reynard, In Due Time, the narrator tells an intriguing story about the relationships of a consultant living in Atlanta. He navigates the reader through a celebration of bachelorhood gone bad when he and his two lovers unexpectedly end up at the same place at the same time. The first woman in his life is Geena, a beautician who he has been dating off and on since high school. She has given him the ultimatum that the only way their relationship will continue is if she gets a ring by Christmas. The narrator can't do that because he has a second woman in his life. A woman soaked in his spirit.
About the Author: Nigel Reynard was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1967 but grew up in a middle class Atlanta household. After graduating from Mays High School, he remained in Atlanta where he entered Clark College. However, after two years at Clark, Nigel left school to join the Marines. During his two years on Sea Duty, Nigel had the opportunity to travel the world and visit many exotic ports. While in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Nigel began keeping notes for stories because when the time came, he hoped to re-enlist as an armed forces news reporter. After ending his two years on Sea Duty, Nigel was reassigned to the Camp Pendleton, California Marine Base and within a year was shipped off to Operation Desert Storm. During his down time as Operations Clerk in Saudi Arabia, Corporal Cleveland brainstormed possible film and sideline ideas for stories based on what he witnessed while in the Persian Gulf. Returning to Camp Pendleton from Desert Storm in early 1991, it was time to re-enlist. After being refused a request to go to Armed Services Broadcasting School, he turned down his re-enlistment and returned to Clark, now renamed Clark Atlanta University. Majoring in what he had begun to love, he finished Clark Atlanta in three years with a Bachelor's Degree in Radio, TV, and Film. Now out of college, Nigel took a job as a supervisor at an automotive transportation firm until he got his big break. He weighed his time there until he could figure out his next move. Three years later, a position at his firm opened in Los Angeles. His sights were once again set on a media career, but he didn't know what. Writer, director, or producer? He didn't know, he just wanted to get to Los Angeles to find his niche. Once in LA, finding a television job proved a lot more difficult than Nigel had imagined. Within a few months, he was trying to balance his time between Hollywood lunches and a transportation job.
