About the Book

In 1989, shortly before his execution, Ted Bundy gave his final confession to Washington State. This is the original version of that confession as provided by an FOIA request made in June of 2015. In this interview, there is little attempt to discuss the over 158 pieces of evidence that were logged in by search and rescue crews at Taylor Mountain - crews that included officials and professionals from other jurisdictions and the Civil Air Patrol on site for several days - not kids as what has been publicly claimed. Further, there were skeletal remains found on Taylor Mountain on site in March of 1975 that were identified by bone numbers and forwarded on to Superior Court and then further sent to Texas in 2005 where they were identified as three of the missing girls originally found on Taylor Mountain. This paper trail confirms that skeletal remains and not just skulls were found at Taylor Mountain -- multiple items of clothing were also found on site per ESAR reports and forwarded to Superior Court. So why the narrative over the years that decapitation took place - it did not. There is not a single instance in the records of that time period where it is proven that Bundy decapitated a victim. The final interview sounds very rehearsed when you review it against the evidence and the minute details it contains. In addition to Taylor Mountain, Issaquah had over 100 pieces of evidence including a notation of a bicycle shift cable found there by ESAR teams - both sites had evidence of weapons, burial, girls clothing, shallow grave possible indications, animal activity and signs of the potential killer. Both sites had unidentified girls found [skeletal remains]. Abandoned homes were noted as near each of Bundy's sites at Issaquah and Taylor Mountain. Why did this 1989 interview fail to elicit from Bundy any discussions about that evidence. The FBI was sent several samples of human hair after Taylor Mountain was discovered from the finds there - what happened to those results? Why did the FBI not question Bundy specifically about all this evidence? DId they know of it? Why were Bundy's cases described as "we'll never know" per the 1992 FBI report when clearly there was much evidence found that could and should have been processed. There is much that was moved over into the Archives away from active police investigation for decades that needs public revelation and discussion. The narrative that has been put forward publicly is not supported by the actual case files in several places per the actual case records. Why has this discrepancy been empowered and allowed?
