About the Book
Starting out as a website to share healthy food recipes for cancer patients, ImproveAble Feast became a multifaceted source of information between the relationship of our resources, our spirits, and our health. ImproveAble Feast inspires the reader to make more informed choices toward wellness by investigating our diets, environment, lifestyle, and understanding why our spirit plays an important role in opening avenues of healing. Patricia Oltean holds a degree in Environmental Communications, bringing together an understanding of how natural science blends with social science, and in writing what initially was an exploration of the power of food choices, this project grew into an understanding of how all of the choices we make in life are connected, directing us either toward health or toward disease. All choices in our lives matter, as these choices were formed by the foundation of our up bringing, how we deal with our own back story, even how we deal with those hidden wounds of shame. Finding our unique voice and inner wisdom takes time and experience, but along the way we find mentors, and friends to help guide us. ImproveAble Feast points out that life can offer clues to help you to find your true life path, with opportunities of discovery all around us. ImproveAble Feast covers topics that include ways to create more harmony within your home, the politics of food, personality archetypes, suggestions on where to start making changes in diet and exercise, meditation, quantum mechanics, energy work, and much more. With clear and fluid writing, the author's personal stories bring forward a variety of resources to benefit anyone along their personal health journey. ImproveAble Feast is also the story of Patricia Oltean's own healing, as she worked to help others by providing cooking classes to cancer support groups, yoga and meditation classes, and wellness talks in her community, she began to realize through helping others, she was actually working to heal herself. ImproveAble Feast reads as a primer for anyone interested in taking the responsibility of health into their own hands. ImproveAble Feast is an account of how we are connected to our health through our food, through our energy, how we take care of our bodies, but ultimately this is a book on how we cultivate our spiritual growth.
