About the Book

Twin authors Jake and Luke Reaume continue their thrilling tale with book two of The Draconean Trilogy. The trials of Elënthiá's forbidden Forsair, Lathaniel Waythan, show no signs of abating as this fantasy adventure continues to unfold. Gorillian is dead but still the Resistance flounders against Narc armies that continue to sweep across the Four Lands. Though battling a new and unknown evil has pulled his compatriots to opposite ends of Elënthiá, Lathaniel, fulfilling a final request from Drake, is reluctantly anchored in Nesmeresa. An unwelcome outcast, the Forsair is tied to a fate not of his own making and is part of a civil war that is spiralling out of control. In a desperate attempt to save his own kingdom, Athron leaves young Juga in charge of the Gor'ean army, the Resistance and his seat on the Elënthián Supreme Council. Meanwhile, he rides hard for the realm of Duron in hopes of convincing a rebel force of Men to come and join them in the war for Elënthiá. Every lesson Juga learned from his years with Drake is called into service as he tries to hold Gorger against the enemy's onslaught and to defend both the Supreme Council and the secret city of Gorgonathan. United in their quest for peace, it will take the collective efforts of all of Elënthiá's heroes to rally and battle this emerging darkness. This fantasy world is rich, robust and abounds with adventure, intrigue and the kind of colourful description and original detail fans have come to expect from these talented young authors. This page-turner fantasy adventure will leave readers yearning for more! ForeWord Clarion Review says [of The Draconean] "...a profusely rich and inviting world that fantasy readers will want to explore. ...skilfully designed, fast-paced and satisfying."
About the Author: Jake and Luke are 19-year-old identical twins. Though they started life in rural Canada, they spent nearly twelve years growing up in the Middle East and have travelled the world extensively. Apart from pursuing writing as their passion, these engaging twin brothers are much in demand motivational speakers who have spoken to thousands of students from the Great Lakes to the Persian Gulf about the power of believing in oneself and of pursuing one's dreams. Jake and Luke began writing The Draconean, book one in the trilogy, when they were just eleven years of age. It was released in the spring of 2010. "17", the companion piece to their motivational speaking, was released in the spring of 2011. Following on the release of this novel, An Immortal's Gift, the final book in the trilogy, The Last Survivor, is due for release in the fall of 2012. The two are currently studying History and English Literature at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
