About the Book

'REVISED EDITION' Imagine a world where the evil of the Blood Countess Elizabeth Bathory is able to ultimately escape the clutches of mortality as she is reborn into an immortal entity of the most evil and sinister proportions. Imagine a world where she is free to unleash the horrors of her past depravities upon the unsuspecting world of humankind once again, unhindered, or so she believes. Gregor, a naive sorcerer's apprentice, has unwittingly resurrected the Countess who now lurks through the obscured alleyways and shadowy corners of Hungary with her consort. Once again, she stalks her prey only to be seduced by the cunning Soul Eaters, considered the most malevolent and ancient of all evils to ever walk the face of the Earth. Gregor now desperately searches for help to end Elizabeth's reign of terror. He seeks the aid of Dr. Abigail Redman, a young and ambitious virologist working for the CDC, who struggles with her own troubled past. The two team up with Father Philippe Gustave, her spiritual advisor, and Herman, the fallen immortal monk and author of The Devil's Bible. These few heroes are the only people standing between the Soul Eaters and the fall of humankind. Their fight against evil becomes their immortal legacy. This fast-paced, gripping thriller merges the legendary, horrific exploits of the Blood Countess Elizabeth Bathory of Hungary, with the history of humankind. Starting with Eve's first adulterous copulation with the serpent Devil in the Garden of Eden, this immortal legacy finally links the bloodlines of their immortal spawn, Cain, to the author of The Devil's Bible, and to the very first vampires. Who will emerge triumphant and victorious in the epic battle of the immortals as they fight, not only amongst themselves, but also with the battle they must face against God's servants?
About the Author: Lynn Blocker is fifty years old and currently lives in East Texas where she was the primary care-giver of her eighty-six year old mother, Ruby. (1926-2013) In 2008, she found herself at a crossroads as she contemplated her future. She had worked at a major tire manufacturing company for ten years before, like so many Americans, her job was lost due to recession and outsourcing brought about by the increasingly fragile economy. Faced with the reality that her job, along with those of so many others, would most likely never return, she found comfort in the realization that she was now able to turn much needed attention to her mother and her growing health needs. Along with this blessing, came the opportunity to fulfill a dream and a promise made early in life, not only to herself, but also to her younger brother Toby, as she found herself with a lot of time on her hands. Time, which her previous job had not afforded her. When they were very young, a childhood promise was made between the siblings that one day they would write a book together, both being artists and lovers of the written word. Unfortunately, that dream never came to fruition, as Toby passed away in 1991 at the age of twenty-three due to complications from AIDS. This book is dedicated to them, and a fulfillment to Toby of that long ago promise. Although he was not physically present to pen these words, her love for him, and his celebrated spirit of adventure guided her in this effort. A dear late friend told her once; "You are guaranteed to fail if you never try. Therefore, it is better to attempt something great and fail, than attempt to do nothing and succeed." Ms. Blocker maintains a Facebook account to network with friends and readers. You can follow her on her Amazon Biography Page "Amazon's Lynn Blocker Page."
