''They say the Eyes are the windows to this world.'
When I looked into her eyes, I saw the universe, and more...
I saw Immortality, breathing peacefully, just as it did at the birth of mankind."
When a little known graduate theoretical physicist, Kuda Pasipo, disappears, not much thought is spared to finding him.
But, when twenty years later a photograph is taken of what looks like the missing physicist surrounded by young bare-chested women warriors in the dense unknown part of the Amazon rainforest, questions begin to be asked.
At the tip of everybody's curiosity is could this be the missing physicist? What is he doing in the jungle with the women?
Above all, is the nagging question, 'If this is the missing physicist, then something is wrong with the photograph.
For, he hasn't aged from the day he disappeared twenty years ago.
Question is, has this man found immortality?
Has he found the elixir of youth deep in the jungle of the Amazon?
This ignites the world as powerful people begin to ask similar questions.
Immortality? And the legendary Amazonian tribe of women? This exotic combination become a thought-provoking idea, and the race is on to find the secret to the fountain of everlasting youth.
Then, one of his former fellow researchers reveals that prior to his disappearance, Pasipo had been 'obsessed' with the work of Ettore Majorana, the Sicilian-born genius 'ranked among Newton and Einstein' who disappeared at sea in 1938. Trained as an engineer, with a parchment for mathematics, Majorana, took an interest in physics and as a young graduate joined Enrico Fermi's "Via Panisperna boys," a group of young researchers who discovered the slow neutrons. His brilliance led him to study quantum physics working with Werner Heisenberg and Niels Bohr.
Today he is credited with the Majorana equation, and the Majorana mass and Majorana particles. He hypothesized the real nature of neutrinos. When he was the professor of physics at the University of Naples, he became reserved from the world. He abandoned his research work and disappeared.
Why would a promising young physicist abandon his brilliant career and vanish without a trace?
Pasipo's former fellow researchers believe he had become so obsessed with finding out more as to what became of Majorana, he took a one-way ticket to South America (where Majorana was later last spotted) and also vanished. Until now.
Former fellow students reveal more. Pasipo had somehow got hold of Majorana's research papers. He kept telling everyone Majorana had discovered the elusive non-interacting 'Immortal particle' said to be at the heart of what we now call Dark Energy and Dark Matter which accounts for 90% of our universe.
The talk of immortality draws in 'freak-show' fanatics who simply crave not to age. If the elixir of immortal young does exist, some are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice and pay the ultimate price for immortal cells. Everyone realises there is unimagined amount of money to be made.
Three woman want the secret so badly they are each prepared to pay any price for it.
- One is the multi-billionaire heir to the world's richest pharmaceutical company.
- The other is the aging mother to the world's most dangerous drug lord,
- And the third woman is the wife to the President of the USA.
All three woman are willing to risk everything and give up what it takes to get to the Elixir of Youth before death comes their way.
And murder soon becomes a guest in their desperate scheming minds.
