I found it all encompassing in its inclusivity and in its ability to engender contributions from everyone in the school community.

The book takes the apprehension out of meeting the class for the first time, offers various methods of classroom organisation and strategies of how to deal with challenging children. One off the best features of the book is offering ECT's/ NQT's these practical techniques in those vital early days as well as highlighting the other agencies and people they will be working alongside.

This is a book which needs to be shared with all teachers across the board and a must for the staffroom table. It will definitely bring back memories and become a conversation starter, not only amongst teachers but also, Teaching Assistants, Governors and Admin staff.
