About the Book

This is not a book of non-fiction. This is an art project. The journalistic standards of non-fiction writing need not to apply here - strenuous research is replaced by speculation, scientific conjectures by pure fiction. In other words, you are holding a highly unreliable piece of work and nothing in it should be taken at face value. Similarly, the author is not an art historian or journalist (although he has briefly dabbled in both), but an artists. He is not familiar with the craft and discipline of scientific or journalistic inquiry and could not be bothered to learn this craft. He is an opinionated individual who conveniently substitutes solid evidence with vague theories that he makes up as he goes along. The author also has strong financial reasons for writing this book. As he now has time on his hands, he finds that he spends too much money buying books. Now, he figures that if he wrote a book instead of buying one, he would save a great deal of money - several hundred dollars over the projected 5-6 months it will take him to finish this book. He is also hoping to start a trend - if many would write their own books instead of buying someone else's, book publishers could be put out of business!
About the Author: Laslo Vespremi, was born in 1945 in Budapest and grew up in Hungary. He went to schools in Hungary, West-Germany and in the USA. Married to Elisabeth, an architect, they have two children, David and Sarah. Mr. Vespremi pursued many professions, including teaching art and art history in Germany, being an illustrator and art director in the USA, and also many years as software marketer and finally software developer. He started his own company, Abalone LLC in 2007. The company develops and sells FaceShop, a 3D face building software and Face2Face, a drug education software for the iPad, mainly used by schools and law enforcement. He never wrote a book before but can't make any promises for not writing another one (all it takes is a little encouragement). He lives with his close family in the San Francisco Bay area, working on various projects and also enjoying his grandchildren, Liam and Isaac.
