These proceedings represent the work of researchers participating in the 13th International Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security (ICCWS 2018) which is being hosted this year by the National Defense University in Washington DC, USA on 8-9 March 2018.
ICCWS is a recognised event on the International research conferences calendar and provides a valuable platform for individuals to present their research findings, display their work in progress and discuss conceptual and empirical advances in the area of Cyber Warfare and Cyber Security. It provides an important opportunity for researchers and managers to come together with peers to share their experiences of using the varied and expanding range of Cyber Warfare and Cyber Security research available to them.
The conference this year will be focusing on the topic of "Meeting our future needs in Cyberspace" and the keynote presentations have encapsulated this issue. The first day will be opened with a keynote presentation by Jim Langevin, United States Representative, 2nd District of Rhode Island, and Will Hurd, United States Representative, 23rd District of Texas, USA. The second day of the conference will be opened by Tony Cole, Vice President and Global Government Chief Technology Officer, FireEye, Inc.
With an initial submission of 157 abstracts, after the double blind, peer-review process there are 61 Academic Research papers, 7 PhD Research, 7 Masters Research 3 Non-Academic and 4 Work in Progress papers published in these Conference Proceedings. These papers represent truly global research in the field, with contributions from Australia, Canada, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Jamaica, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UK and USA.
