When Nadine's mother decided to give her away for the third time in twelve years, she was thrilled to know that she would be living with family. "It won't be that bad, this time" she thought, "after all we have the same blood running through our veins" but little did she know that she would become Cinderella. "I was only five years old Mama; I was still a baby"
"I didn't give you away" was her answer to me. Her face was stained with all the tears she cried; her feet sore from the rocks she climbed, and her heart ached.....
Throughout her life there was a lot of pain, anger, ups and downs, she was always swaying with the wind, wherever life took her she would go. The pub was sitting on the cliff overlooking the emerald, green Caribbean Sea. She took a seat on the rocks enjoying the waves bouncing on the cliffs and listening to the gruesome sound as it splashed beneath her feet. she must have been drowned in her thoughts for God knows how long, she didn't even notice the two men standing over her....
"Don't you see this kind of girl should never be around those kinds of people, she's quality I can tell.
But when Mark decided to take her in and spit her out then play her for a fool, if only he knew that he would arouse the lion in her. When God Led Nadine to meet Hans her second sons' father, he offered her the life that any woman would dream of, but Nadine needed her dreams....
"Who the hell is this?" Nadine asked, in a very angry tone, "when did we have a relationship, why are you calling my man's phone?" "You're acting like you don't know who I am, is that what you are doing? I'm coming over there to kill you.".....
Sitting there waiting for her flight to be ready, she realized how fortunate and blessed she was, and that out of a bad situation good can come. When God wants to open a door for you, he must find a way to get you there, the moves are not going to be all the time the best or easy, sometimes it is rough and rocky. It was hard and she cried night and day, but God saw her tears and he knew her heart. Leaving for her was easy because she was not a materialistic kind of girl, she was a very independent person, a provider by nature and when she can't provide, she feels helpless, she is a lioness, she can't help it. She could not stay in that relationship a day longer, she was suffocating, depressed and on the verge of exploding.....
"Ms. Billings, my name is Christine Dixon, and I am calling from the child services"...... her ears were hearing but her heart froze for a minute. "Ms. Billings I have some bad news" "What is it doctor?" she asked but no words could come from his mouth, just a gloomy look on his face. "What is it doctor; is it HIV...."
Charlotte Billings born August 9th, 1970, in a little community called Bunkers Hill in the parish of Trelawny in the very exotic Island of Jamaica. A proud mother of three humble children Kendra, Marrini and Patrieca and was lately blessed with my third-generation Tyrique. Charlotte, commonly known as Nadine, is an entrepreneur, an author, cook and as some would say jack of all trades, this is her. The aim of this book is to share with people who are struggling, constantly being oppressed, beaten down feeling hopeless and abused. Young people who feel like there is no hope, when you feel like your back is against the wall, you must know that God will never leave or forsake you. But you must call out to him, when no one else is listening he does. He is patiently waiting for you to let your request be known, and when you do, you must wait for his answer, his direction, pay attention, listen, and no matter what stay connected to him. He will give you what is best for you in your season and when you receive it don't go throwing it away because that wasn't what you needed, think about all the great things you can do with whatever he allows you to have until he is ready to change your season. Because that's a mistake even I had made.
