Se é bem verdade que o texto pessoano vale por si mesmo, a leitura pictórica, cósmica que Marcos Girão faz dela com recurso à tela, à cor ao traço, à técnica transfigura em boa medida o texto original, enriquecendo-o, dando-lhe outras leituras plurais possíveis num fluir torrencial de sentidos, metáforas, imagens e relações entre o mundo onírico e o mundo real do poeta autor e do pintor criador A Portugalidade, o portuguesismo, no bom sentido dos termos, a alma lusa, e mesmo esse império pessoano com raízes em Padre António Vieira estão bem patentes nas telas de Marcos Girão, no seu processo criativo quase vulcânico, um pouco á semelhança do autor do L.D., completando o texto original com o recurso à imagem feita de inúmeras imagens, rostos com traços ora a lembrar Picasso e as correntes inovadoras do início do século XX, a par das correntes mais recentes das décadas de sessenta e setenta.
