Book 3 Warning:
This book contains an epic adventure that places three fourth graders in extreme danger. Being Senshi Warriors, or fourth graders, like Hiro, Bryan, and Zahra isn't easy. Keeping their secret identities from their classmates is proving to be impossible. In this third book of the series (whoa, it's a trilogy!) our heroes battle the strongest enemy they have ever faced, complete an out-of-this-world science project, and, yes, there's even romance. The universe is about to get a lot more interesting!
About the Author:
Hi! My name's Hiroshi and I'm a kid, just like you. I'm fascinated with the internet, use my smartphone to create all types of content, and love spending time with friends and family across the globe. I started writing as a way to address issues of bullying and diversity that I and others around me have experienced.
My Inspiration:
I am inspired by an appreciation of culture and diversity all around me. We are each different in some way. I am different. I think that differences are what make each of us unique, though, and things we should be proud of. Unfortunately, some kids make fun of others for such differences. My books are meant to help celebrate the wonderful ways in which every kid should be proud of who they are, where they come from, and the contribution they make to the world around them. I am lucky enough to have parents that celebrate the many ways that I am unique. My mom is Japanese, and my dad is Mexican-American, and they have struggled to ensure I am proud of all aspects of my culture. They continue to send me to Mexico and Japan to spend time with grandparents during summer breaks, even though my dad says it costs way too much to do so. The result is that they have created someone who is confident, proud, and capable of accomplishing anything I put my mind to. For example, wanting to write a book series about diverse characters confronting any obstacle in front of them by working together.
Series Theme:
Throughout this series you'll read about epic stories related to friendship, teamwork, empathy, diversity, and self confidence. What more could any kid ask for? This second book has been inspired by global events and the social justice efforts. America is a symbol of hope for many around the world. It's a land of opportunity founded on important values. Our Declaration of Independence states, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they're endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." For that to be a reality for all Americans, we must work toward a future that honors and respects all. It's up to us.
