Contemporary poet Pamela M. Hately presents a wonderful collection of lyrical poetry relating to everyday life. Her fictional characters express hope, love, heartache, loss, fear, and spirituality in poems that are mostly written using a traditional rhyme scheme. For readers who savor lucid, straightforward verse, it's a refreshing take on modern poetry.
The seventy-five poems that make up I Met You in Silence are grouped into six sections:
- Reflections
- Observations
- On Love and Matters
- Tender Love
- Spiritual Poems, and
- The Final Journey
Pamela was inspired to write these works when she looked back at her childhood journals, drawings, essays, and poetry. She has translated her history and the life experiences of those around her into imagined stories dealing with real thoughts and emotions. Her goal is to convey the difficulties and joys people face in their lives.
Readers who enjoyed Pamela's first book, Memories of My Love, will revel in this new anthology of insightful, heartfelt poetry.
About the Author:
Pamela M. Hately writes both prose and poetry. She was an aspiring author when she wrote her first major work, Navidades Mágicas, a children's Christmas play. It was presented at a local theatre with the students of an academic institution (K-12), Colegio Véritas, one she helped co-found in 1982 with an association of parents in the Dominican Republic. In addition to her play, she authored The Memories of my Love, a book with thought-provoking advice for all ages. Reflecting on God, family, principles and life, it is personal and heartwarming.
