About the Book

THE WHITE RABBIT CHASE (Chapter 5) "Ok! Ok! Boy we will go for a walk after dinner." Stew sat watching till the last crumb hit his master's mouth. Before the door could open wide enough, he flew past Josh's legs almost knocking him over. "Boy you gotta slow down we'll get there, we'll get there soon enough." Closing the door behind him, they both walked toward the woods along the jagged ravine. As they walked further into the woods that scent seized Stew's nose. The dog's nose rose into the air, his ears turn in the direction the scent was coming from and he was off and running. In a distance the rabbit sat still on a fallen tree, Stew saw it and he jolted after the rabbit. Running down the ravine through and under large fallen trees, Stew went jumping, huffing, and puffing with aim and vigor; his tongue hung out of his mouth to one side. "Stew! Stew! You fool dog! Don't you go get stuck again. I promised I'd leave ya, and I mean it! Stew!" Josh started running after the two, which were in a hell bent race, Stew's capture or the rabbits escape. Josh came to a large log big enough for him and Stew to crawl through. "Stew," he whispered. "Are you in there?" A whimper and a howl came from outside of the log; Josh backed up quickly and stood up, there straight down the ravine he sees Stew. He was standing up on hinds feet staring upward onto a fallen tree, which still stood on its ends tilted. The rabbit ran up the narrow-hollow trunk, leaving Stew running around in circles, he couldn't climb, he just yelped and yelped. Trying to catch his breath, Josh got close enough to see the tip of the ears of the rabbit coming from the top of the log. "Boy you'll never get him now, he's at the top, don't know how a rabbit climb a tree but he did." Stew stood there yelping and looking up at Josh wanting his assistance in getting to the rabbit. "Nope boy, you gotta let this one go, it's no gain here today. Even I can't get to him. Come on boy another day maybe." Josh grabbed a hand-full of the skin and fur on Stews neck. "Stew didn't wear a collar, he was a farm dog, not a city folk dog," as Josh explains to people who ask. Both Josh and Stew walked quietly back to the farm, "We done for the day boy?" Looking down at Stew, Josh waited for a firm yes by the wagging of the dog's tail. Stew agreed with a wag, but peered behind several times just in case the rabbit was willing for another go at it. The two old companions walked home for a good night's rest.
About the Author: Having a great imagination I wanted to test my writing and creative ability in a story. As a child, my family enjoyed love stories and movies, really movies of all kinds. But I loved to be enchanted, made to daydream. I was, and still am a big fan of Hallmark pictures presented on television; they are full of hope and love. So I wanted to try my wings in writing good novels covering a wide genre: suspense, love stories, and thrillers. I hope that I can entertain and engage the reading audience for years to come. I hope to capture my readers and take them on a long journey with me through story after story. I also hope to influence others in being creative and start writing their own stories to share with the world.
