Illustrations are full page and each bordered with a thin, black line. The stapled binding makes the book easier to lie flat, making it more comfortable for both left and right handed users. The illustrations are of varying line sizes. The designs are detailed but not highly intricate, making this not too difficult for those with vision or dexterity issues.
While this is heavier paper, images are still double-sided, making it impossible to use markers on this without the picture on the backside being damaged by bleed through. I recommend using colored pencils, pastels, crayons, and watercolor pencils, (if you use the water very sparingly). Test your gel pens first. Some do bleed through, but not most.
