About the Book

Gerome Justus, like all human beings who crawl on the surface of the planet Earth, is no saint, but has a character, which often greatly impress the social environment of which he is part of. He is not much of agreeing with the opinions of whoever, simply because of a friendly relationship. He rather using of transparence in his point of views. Even so, always applying polite, diplomatic arguments, and above all, demonstrating a lot of respect to colleagues during the dialogues. At the age of 27, Gerome is already a millionaire, thanks to his financial investments and technology business areas, in which he united the useful to the pleasant. Generating a fortune that is already approaching the first billion dollars, in addition to guiding several family, relatives, and friends, those whom come to him in search of help and advice. He lives in a mansion that could not be classified as ostentatious, because he doesn´t mind preciousness nor popularity, because, always liked practicality instead of exhibitionism. His condition as an almost billionaire did not affect his personality nor the relationship with friends he had from the past, during the difficult times, before he started to reach the top in the business matters, that is, when he was still struggling to conquer the space he currently occupy, amid so many others well succeed entrepreneurs. Because he always maintained contact and an excellent friendship with the vast majority of childhood and adolescence pals. In the social gatherings in his mansion, one could observe a great diversity of these old friends mixed among the other millionaires who also used to hang out.Once, in an unusual danger situation, during an assault, he had the happiness of meeting an old fellow from his childhood named Valente, usually called by the nickname "Cutico" among the kids of at that time. "Cutico" was born from a very poor family, who lived in a hut on the hill; the floor was clay all over, the stove was a whole filled with wood to be burned, in order to cook the meals, besides no furniture at all. Cutico's father was an alcoholic. Neighbors used to see him every day coming from work, on his way walking up the hill staggering, and barely managing to find the place where he lived. Needing to be assisted by other people. His mother was a great housewife, besides taking care of him the best she could, and never letting "Cutico" walk around in dirty or torn clothes. One day, as Gerome walked down a street in front of a building, in which Valente worked as a security guard, three assailants suddenly invested in front of him pointing guns and demanding money. At the right time, "Cutico", with an energetic voice ordered them to drop their weapons, and it was necessary to eliminate one of them, whom reacted menacingly with a firearm, besides seriously injuring the other one. They happily hug for finally meeting each other since long time ago. Afterwards, Gerome hired Valente as his bodyguard, and two others referred by him to take shifts for the safety of his millionaire friend. It was not a 24-hour security job but only for special and necessary situations, even because Gerome's car was armored.
