Inhaltsangabe: Problemstellung: Es steht außer Frage, dass Mergers & Acquisitions, kurz M&A, in den letzten Jahrzehnten ein vieldiskutiertes Thema waren. Das beweist die Flut an Informationsquellen und literarischen Werken, die für diese Thematik zur Verfügung stehen. Die jüngste Literatur weist vor allem auf die Bedeutung der Integrationsphase nach einem gelungen Abschluss einer Transaktion hin. Trotz der umfangreichen Ratgeberliteratur scheinen die Erfolgsquoten für M&A in der Praxis nicht zu steigen. Über Gründe für das Scheitern gibt es zahlreiche Theorien und vermutlich spielen auch mehrere Faktoren eine Rolle, wenn eine Transaktion ein Misserfolg wird, aber dennoch ist jede einzelne Maßnahme, die durchgeführt wird und jede Aktion, die gesetzt wird, im Endeffekt auf einen Menschen zurückzuführen. Es spielt dabei keine Rolle, ob es sich um Führungskräfte oder einfache Mitarbeiter handelt, wenn die notwendigen Informationen und das entsprechende Know-How fehlen, kann oft nicht die richtige Entscheidung getroffen werden. In der Vergangenheit wurde das Thema „Mitarbeiter bei M&A" zwar schon oft aufgegriffen, jedoch häufig nur auf der Kulturebene betrachtet. Es wurde in jedem Fall auf die Bedeutung der Mitarbeiter hingewiesen, Lösungen für diese Problematik wurden aber nur teilweise präsentiert. Trotz der angeblich großen Bedeutung der Human Ressourcen, geht aber aus der eigenen empirischen Studie hervor, dass 29,4 % der Unternehmen ihre Mitarbeiter noch immer nicht in den M&A-Prozess miteinbeziehen, 44,1 % tun dies teilweise und 26,5 % beziehen die Mitarbeiter ganz den Prozess mitein. Das bedeutet also, dass noch immer ungefähr ein Drittel der M&A ohne Beteiligung der Mitarbeiter ausgeführt werden. Die durchgeführte Untersuchung zeigt jedoch, dass die Einbeziehung der Mitarbeiter nicht unerheblich für den Erfolg von M&A ist. Aus diesem Grund soll mit dieser Arbeit ein Anstoß zur Integration der Mitarbeiter in den gesamten M&A-Prozess gegeben werden. Ziel ist es
