    About the Author:

    Harry Starn, Jr., teaches at California Lutheran University, a private, non-profit, four-year institution located in Thousand Oaks, CA. His program administrator duties involve directing the School of Management's Financial Planning Program. He has also served as the University's Director of Distance Learning and Chair of the Faculty Advising and Mentoring Committee. Previously, he taught in the Professional Degree program at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

    He is the recipient of two teaching awards. In 2010, the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) presented him with the bronze award for Excellence in Distance Teaching. In 2016, the Advisory Council of California Lutheran's School of Management recognized him for excellence and outstanding achievement in the area of teaching. He served four years on the CFP Board's Council on Education in Washington, DC, and co-authored the 11th Edition of "Practicing Financial Planning for Professionals."
