About the Book

This book, How to Pray for Your Loved Ones, was written during an unprecedented time when God was calling our nation to prayer. Men and women including hundreds of pastors across America and some from Europe were divinely drawn to the small community of Rockwall, Texas, and there received an impartation for their next assignment from God as they learned the foundational prayer known as the Lord's Prayer of Matthew Six.
Kathy and John were very fortunate to meet Pastor Bob Willhite, who was an Elder and also the Pastor of Prayer at Church on the Rock in Rockwall. He became both our mentor in prayer and hero of faith. Kathy served as his administrative assistant and was responsible to answer the constant calls in his office from precious desperate people needing prayer for their children, husbands, wives, healing or financial provision. They wanted to know how to pray for their loved ones.
Kathy would direct them back to the specific Scriptures to pray or "praying the Word" as she called it. The scriptures she received in the early morning prayer times for specific issues would surprisingly be the very scriptures needed for the desperate calls the next week. These are found in the chapters of this book.
As we embraced, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven," our lives were changed. As you read and also embrace the timeless principles of prayer in this book, they will encourage you, build your faith, and answer many of the questions you have had about prayer.
You can listen to Pastor Bob's teaching, as well as Kathy's at Hisway School of Prayer on most of the popular podcast platforms. Our prayer is that you will answer the call to prayer as we and thousands of others have.
One of the first principles that we learned from Pastor Bob was: "If you have enough faith to pray...you have enough faith to move the hand of God".
We are all concerned about our loved ones. Do you need help? What are your heart's desires for your family? Within the pages of this book you will hear a young mother's cries for help through tumultuous times and discover the answers that transformed her "weakness into strength," her doubts and fears into faith, and her shyness into courageous boldness. Some of the common problems that many face are financial reverses or mountains of debts, health problems, challenges in marriage or family relationships, or simply wisdom to guide and nurture children. However, you will gain practical steps to overcome each of these areas within these pages as you come to understand: "Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain..." Psalm 127:1 We can only truly build our house (lives) through prayer and specifically, praying the Word of God over our problems. You will find as you are reading... "If you have enough faith to pray, you have enough faith to move the hand of God. (BJ Willhite) If you don't pray for your husband, who will? If you don't pray for your children, who will? With the principles of prayer that you will learn in this book you will be more than able to meet these challenges and win!
