About the Book

This book is a collection of beautiful poems and Vignette's by Lisa Lee Dark and Mohammad Arafat. The poems and Vignette's tell their stories of difficulties, struggles, hardships, loneliness and love that they have experienced throughout their lives. Lisa-Lee has suffered from horrific abuse over the years and Mohammad has suffered from the difficulties of being poor and living in Gaza and surviving several wars.
About the Author: Mohammad`s bio: Growing up in Gaza has been tough for Mohammad Arafat and his family; partly because of the troubles with Israel, and also because they're a poor family. Their lives have been filled with love because of his amazing parents, who he loves more than anything in the world. As a child Mohammad liked his own company and he tended to play by himself; although he wanted to have friends he found it difficult to mix with children his own age, so, at times during his childhood he felt lonely as he had no friends to play with. All he had was his family, whom he considers his best friends, as they've always been there for each other; quite simply, 'Mohammad's family is his life'. Mohammad began his education in 1997, although he found school life hard because he wasn't very successful, so he decided to leave school and look for a job; as he wanted to bring in an income to try to help his family. Lisa`s bio: Lisa-Lee is famous in her own right; but for two different reasons. Firstly she was born with the rare inter-sex medical condition called, 'Congenital adrenal hyperplasia' (CAH). To explain the condition in simple terms; it meant that when Lisa-Lee was born she had an enlarged and fused female genitalia, so doctors believed that she was male; but it wasn't until Lisa-Lee was a teenager that she got correctly diagnosed and discovered she is a fully functioning female, with reproductive organs. For a more detailed explanation regarding CAH, please check out Lisa-Lee's Wikipedia page. From the age of nine Lisa-Lee has been recording music; to begin with she began by recording classical and sacred pieces of music for TV and film soundtracks; then she moved on to covering different dance hit records and releasing them on the mid-priced/budget music market; these recordings have sold almost a million copies, but Lisa-Lee was mostly uncredited for this work. Now in 2015 Lisa-Lee is making another comeback, she considered completely leaving the entertainment industry but she was asked to return by her old record company as they were having financial difficulties, so she reluctantly agreed to help them and return to work and honour her recording deal; but she is also returning back to recording because she will be in a better position to help people like Mohammad Arafat build up his career; and she will be able to show all her haters how truly strong she is. Time will tell how successful both she and Mohammad become.
