About the Author: Darlene Soper Turner is a journalist and photographer. She retired from a successful career in television production in Hollywood, and currently resides in the California desert near Palm Springs.

At her various posts, she became intimately familiar with the trials and tribulations associated with living in a foreign country, as well as with the way government works from the inside.
