About the Book

Jack Chamberlain stands where his famous ancestor once stood in Gettysburg, PA. The 150th Anniversary is underway of the momentous series of battles culminating during the spectacle that was known as Pickett's Charge. But during the famed march across the hallowed fields, explosions erupt, killing hundreds. Detectives Jack Chamberlain and Claire Sanchez, are in pursuit of the suspects in this terrible violent act against all Americans. They will discover that this is only the beginning of a string of attacks, bent on changing America for all time. These attacks continue to escalate in order to turn the people away from their government and bring it to its knees. Jack Chamberlain, fresh off the case of his life in Boston, must come to grips with the unthinkable reality that those that are tearing the fabric of the country apart, are not from some third world country, but are homegrown.
About the Author: Novels include: HomeGrown - 2016 Marketable - 2012 Three Card Monte - 2011 I was born in Old Orchard Beach, Maine in July of 1964. I have lived in Maine all of my life and, other than an occasional gripe during late February, I enjoy the four seasons. I used to live within walking distance of the schools, at a time when it was much safer to send your kids out the door in the morning. My parents are still residents and I visit as often as I can. In 2007 my middle daughter, who was fifteen, was diagnosed with a secondary cancer. This was caused from the radiation treatments given to arrest the Ewing's Sarcoma (a soft tissue bone cancer) she had five years earlier. I would sit by her bedside at the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital where she spent most of her time sleeping during chemotherapy. I had a story in my head and decided to write while she slept. I read to her what I had written and we discussed the story as it progressed. She was fifteen at the time and the novel was perhaps a little more adult then she would normally have been allowed to read, but when your child is not expected to survive the year, you loosen up the rules a little. I am pleased to say that she is not only alive but a beautiful twenty-two year old woman. The debate is still out whether reading to her scarred her for life, but I doubt it. But because of this tragedy, I fulfilled a dream of writing a novel with the first of the Jack Chamberlain series, "Three Card Monte". The story takes place in Portland, Old Orchard Beach, and the surrounding towns. I followed that up with "Marketable" in 2012. My middle daughter adorns the cover. The main characters travel to Boston but the story concludes in Maine (no spoilers here). All roads lead home I suppose. The third novel "HomeGrown" released in 2014 has my oldest daughter on the cover. The novel takes the characters beyond New England but let's just say that my hometown will never be the same. I am blessed with three beautiful daughters and a handsome son, so my modeling fees are reasonable. The truth however is that I continue to write because of the response from the readers. They love the characters I have created and the love they have for each other. It seems that both Jack Chamberlain and Claire Sanchez have come alive for me and the readers. As long as that continues, so will I.
