Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Geschichte, Note: 1,3, Universität Münster, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie die Ziele der Holocaust Education im Geschichtsunterricht umgesetzt werden können. Der Nationalsozialismus und seine Verbrechen sind fester Bestandteil des Geschichtsunterrichts an deutschen Schulen und auch in unserem Alltag scheint das Thema allgegenwärtig. Der Grund dafür ist in der Relevanz der nationalsozialistischen Vergangenheit für die Gegenwart und Zukunft der deutschen Gesellschaft zu suchen. Für den Geschichtsunterricht bedeutet dies in erster Linie, diese Vergangenheit für die Schülerinnen und Schüler transparent zu machen. Ein weiterer Kernpunkt der schulischen Auseinandersetzung mit Nationalsozialismus und Holocaust besteht darin, im Unterricht Aspekte der Menschenrechts- und Demokratieerziehung zu berücksichtigen, wofür die zahlreichen Anregungen und didaktischen Konzepte der "Holocaust Education" zur Verfügung stehen. Zunächst erfolgt eine Definition der Begriffe "Holocaust", "Holocaust Erziehung" und ihre Beziehung zueinander wird erklärt. Im dritten Kapitel wird auf das Verhältnis von Holocaust Education, Menschenrechtsbildung und Demokratieerziehung eingegangen und die Herausforderungen thematisiert, die sich daraus für die geschichtsdidaktische Forschung ergeben. Aber auch Kontroversen und Schwierigkeiten der Konzepte der Holocaust Education im Hinblick auf aktuelle Entwicklungen werden aus geschichtsdidaktischer Perspektive beleuchtet. In Kapitel 4 stehen die Ziele der Holocaust Education im Fokus, die sich aus der Analyse einschlägiger Fachliteratur ableiten lassen. Es schließt sich ein Kapitel über die Ziele und Aufgaben, sowie die methodisch-didaktischen Grundlagen des Geschichtsunterrichts an, im sechsten Kapitel werden Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede identifiziert und Probleme diskutiert, die sich dar-aus für die Holocaust Education im Geschichtsunterricht erg
