An hour later, the servants carried Ezra, who was drunk, back to his room.
After they left, Leticia walked over to the bed and looked at him. His cheeks were rosy. She sighed.
How could a man this large get drunk after drinking half a bottle of red wine?
She bent over and patted his arm gently. "Ezra."
He didn't react at all.
She was speechless. She went to the washroom to wring out a towel and came back to wipe his face.
After she finished, she unbuttoned his collar, planning to change his clothes. However, she had only unbuttoned two buttons when Ezra grabbed her hand and opened his eyes to look at her.
Leticia quickly pulled her hand away. "Ezra, you're awake. Can you get up and change your clothes?"
Ezra's eyes were a little dazed, but when he heard Leticia's voice, he immediately threw the pillow in her direction. "Woman, get out of here."
To avoid the pillow, she lurched to the side and almost fell off the bed.
What on earth? Didn't he recognize anyone when he was drunk?
"Ezra, it's Leticia."
"Leticia." He blinked and looked at her, then dropped the second pillow he'd been about to throw onto his knees.
His drunken gaze was actually a little cute.
She held back her laughter and leaned forward. "Yes, it's Leticia."
She was curious about what he would say next. However, she didn't expect him to lurch forward and push her down, much less kiss her on the lips.
