A KAKURO puzzle is constructed in a crossword grid, very similar to a standard crossword, but the digits 1 to 9 are used instead of the letters of the alphabet.
In a standard KAKURO puzzle, the Across and Down clues are simply the sums of the digits in the across and down words.
This will provide enough information to allow each of the digits to be determined. Each puzzle has a unique solution, and no guessing is required.
A typical WORD-SEARCH puzzle consists of a matrix of letters in which a number of words are embedded. The words may run up or down, forward or backward, or in any diagonal direction. A list of the words used in each puzzle is provided.
The rules for all Sudokus - including Samurai -are the same. Fill up the letters or numbers in each box, making sure that none of them in rows or squares, lines or columns are the same.
This is a beautiful set of high-intensity challenges, but note that the number puzzles rotate in difficulty on a 7-puzzle cycle.
