Merriam Press World War 2 History Series
This is a completely new edition of a booklet first published in July 1945 in Germany, written by the brigade's commanding officer. Originally the Heavy Armoured Group of the "Mobile Division (Egypt)," formed in 1938 after the Munich Crisis, it became the 4th Armoured Brigade in January 1941 when the division became the 7th Armoured Division.
Covers the brigade's service in North Africa, starting in January 1940, then on to Sicily, Italy, and home to Britain, landing at Normandy on 7 June 1944, and the liberation of France, Belgium and Holland, into Germany and victory.
