Le Rév. Pasteur François Abômô avait écrit ce livre d'histoire en 1957. Celui-ci couvre l'histoire d'Afrique allant de vers 4241 avant Jésus Christ. L'histoire d'Afrique est importante par ce qu'elle nous rappelle les grands faits qui ont pris place sur notre sol. Elle nous rappelle que l'Evangile de Jésus Christ avait dans le passé et à plus d'une fois atteint les africains avant cette nouvelle vague de missionnaires de vers fin du 18e siècle. Pour cette raison, que tout africain qui lit ce livre réponde à ses deux questions (1) Quels furent les facteurs qui ont contribué à la disparition de la Bonne Nouvelle chez nous toutes les fois dernières ? (2) Est-ce que les mêmes facteurs sont encore présents en notre temps ? (3) Qu'en sera-t-il de cette même Bonne Nouvelle que nous venons de prouver notre maturité le 11 décembre 1957 ? Ces trois questions méritent notre attention en étudiant ce livre. La cause qui a motivé les Américains ainsi bien que d'autres chrétiens européens de venir nous évangéliser cette fois-ci était la vente des esclaves. Pendant des siècles et avant Jésus Christ, les arabes exportaient les Noirs et les vendaient en Orient et dans les pays d'Asie Mineure. Les européens se sont joints à ce trafic à partir de 14e siècle. La Traite européenne des Esclaves qui a duré presque 400 ans a dépouillé l'Afrique Noirs de plus de 80.000.000 des ses enfants sans compter ceux qui sont morts en mer et dans les bateaux négriers par suite de toutes sortes de brutalité partant de leurs arrestations jusqu'au lieux de leurs destinations.Les chrétiens des pays avancés comme l'Angleterre et les USA, pour arrêter le flot de l'homme Noir de son sol natal aux zones où il était devenu l'instrument qui fit naître le système capitaliste, et par amour de Dieu, voulaient implanter l'amour de Jésus dans les coeurs africains pour qu'ils puissent s'aimer comme le Christ les a aimés. Les missionnaires ont voulu, en plus de l'amour de Dieu, nous émanciper et nous inclure dans le concert des nations civilisées. Ce livre n'a pas été écrit par le Pasteur François Akoa Abômô pour rester en forme de brochure comme je le tiens entre mes mains. C'est pour sa préciosité, son contenu qui nous rappelle nos origines, et le fondement de notre être que j'ai trouvé nécessaire de le mettre en forme de livre imprimé. Je remercie mon Seigneur Dieu de m'avoir permis de le faire, moi qui suis le fils de ce François Akoa Abômô. Que ce livre crée en tout lecteur, le retour aux bases pour que l'Eglise Presbytérienne Camerounaise se renouvelle dans son fond et dans sa forme afin d'assumer sa mission qui est de servir et de glorifier son Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus Christ.
