Dieses Zitat stammt aus dem berühmten Eid des Hippokrates, "von dem heute noch die stärkste normative Kraft ausgeht"2, obwohl er heutzutage von keinem Arzt mehr geleistet werden muss bei Eintritt in den Berufsstand. An dessen Stelle steht nun das Genfer Gelöbnis von 1948. Trotz allem sind die ethischen Grundgedanken diesen Werkes auch heute noch aktuell und können zur Beurteilung moderner Probleme hinzugezogen werden. Da viele Menschen heutzutage wegen diverser Krankheiten viele verschiedene Ärzte konsultieren und konservative Behandlungen der Schulmedizin oft fehlschlagen, suchen sie andere Methoden der Heilung. Hierzu ist besonders unter Berücksichtigung des Hippokratischen Eides interessant, welche Methode des Heilens beim Menschen sowohl ethisch als auch physiologisch gesehen am sinnvollsten ist. Dieses soll vor allem unter den zwei gegensätzlichen Prinzipien, Ganzheitlichkeit und Spezialisierung, untersucht werden. Mit Spezialisierung ist die Teilung der Medizin in einzelne Fachbereiche und daher die Behandlung der spezialisierten Ärzte gemeint. Zu dieser Fragestellung wird der Anfang bei Hippokrates liegen, da bei ihm zuerst von Medizin als Wissenschaft gesprochen wird. Er vertritt die beiden grundsätzlichen Methoden der Heilung: Heilung durch das Gegensätzliche und Heilung durch das Ähnliche. Danach soll Hahnemanns klassische Homöopathie bearbeitet werden, dessen Wurzeln auf Hippokrates gründen. Er verspricht Heilung durch das Ähnliche. Schließlich, nach einer kurzen Vorstellung der Methoden der Schulmedizin, folgt anhand der erarbeiteten Fakten von Hippokrates und Hahnemann eine kritische Gegenüberstellung der relevanten Methoden der Schul
