About the Book

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde ein neuartiges Freeze-Casting Verfahren fur die Herstellung von oxidkeramischen Verbundwerkstoffen entwickelt. Das Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf der Uberfuhrung eines flussigen, niedrigviskosen Schlickers in eine feste Matrix, welche beim Sintern nicht schwindet. Dies ist notwendig, da die eingesetzten oxidischen Fasern einer Sinterschwindung entgegenstehen und somit die Porositat erhalten werden muss. Die Matrix, bestehend aus YAG und ZrO2, ist elementarer Bestandteil des Verbundwerkstoffs, da diese die Al2O3-Faserfilamente mechanisch entkoppelt, sowie die Krafte zwischen diesen ubertragt und letztendlich das schadenstolerante Bruchverhalten ermoglicht. Das Ergebnis ist ein hochfester Werkstoff, welcher dauerhaft in korrosiven Atmospharen bei Temperaturen von uber 1000 °C eingesetzt werden kann. Die Verbundwerkstoffe mit Nextel610-Gewebeverstarkung (Al2O3-Fasern) und YAG-ZrO2 Matrix haben eine Dichte von 2,9 g/cm3 bei einer scheinbaren Porositat von 31 Vol.%. Die Biegefestigkeit betragt ca. 300 MPa bei einer Bruchdehnung von 0,37 %.
