About the Author: Terry Samala de Guzman immigrated to the U.S. from the Philippines in her early 20s and built a successful career and family life, eventually becoming a leader, a teacher and a life coach.
Her coaching practice, TSDCoach, is founded on her holistic approach to empower her clients to find work/life balance and sustain life-long learning. Her clients include individuals seeking purpose and direction in their work and life, as well as students of leadership development at Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management, Darden School of Business, and the Federal Executive Institute.
Terry's forty-year career spans C-suite positions both in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Most recently, she was COO at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago prior to which she was Senior Associate Dean at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. Terry started her career in the U.S. at the American Express Company in New York and completed her MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business.
Terry's career progressed while she continued to be mindful of her aspiration to make a difference, her commitment to her values, her search for a sustainable lifestyle, and her openness to growth and learning.
She and her husband, Allen, divide their time between their home in Charlottesville, Virginia and their farm in the Philippines.
