When Help Heals equips people to help others in ways that heal - whether in a two-minute conversation or a long time friendship, when we feel inadequate and don't know what to say.

Part of the process involves examining what people said that left us worse off. There are times when well-intentioned "help" doesn't actually help and may do more harm than good. What helps others the most has everything to do with our experience and relationship with the person offering help.

This book starts by building a foundation based on the reality that we all bear the image of God. Using that frame of reference, the reader will interact with these kinds of questions: What does it mean to be an image bearer? Who is the God we image? What role does being an image bearer of God play as we care for others?
