North Korea has issued nuclear war threats against South Korea, and the future of the entire peninsula hangs in a delicate balance. But one woman is determined to bring these two countries together again before their hostile antics blow them both apart.
Newly-elected South Korean President Park Geun-hye is the first female president in a male-dominated society, and she has included unification as one of the half-dozen goals she aims to accomplish during her tenure. But with pressing threats from the North, unification is no longer a goal but a top priority-for both South Korea and its US ally.
Heaven Sent follows two US Army officers as they embark upon a seemingly impossible mission to help reunify North and South Korea. A captivating, multi-layered work of fiction, it tracks their world travels and explores the relationships they develop along the way, including those with powerful, persuasive women, some of whom help them, while others stand in their way.
Full of historically accurate facts and profound observations, this novel is a must-read for fans of political or historical fiction, as well as for those interested in learning more about Korea's past, present, and future.
