About the Author: My children are grown now. When they were born, I assisted in delivering each one of them. Each miracle left its indelible mark on me and I bonded with my son and two daughters instantly. We did everything together: I'm the eldest of nine kids and I know only too well the pain kids feel when their parents don't make the time to take an interest in them, thus, my children and I did shopping for groceries together, prepping the veggies for meals, cooking, doing dishes, laundry, house clean-up and most of all, going to church. Some months after my divorce, a gnawing fear threatened me on a daily bases. If anything were to happen to me and I should suddenly die, I thought, my baby girl would never know who I was to her. My other daughter and my son were already old enough to consciously know who I was to them, but my baby would never know, that once upon a time she had a real dad who loved her very much--she'd be too young to remember. This dilemma really weighed on my mind. One day, I found myself walking East on Euclid Ave in Cleveland, just past Public Square. It was a very brisk Fall morning. I was fighting the wind gusts so I don't recall anyone else being around. As I got wacked in the back by a serious gust of wind and was nearly knocked into the street. I turned around and looked up at the sky. I stood there for what seemed like a long time staring at "Heaven", with its bright & dark & shaded fast moving clouds. As I watched, a flood of ideas filled my mind. I would leave something behind for my baby girl, to tell her about me and how much I loved her. I would write it in PROSE. That morning the genesis of my book, "A HEART RIPPED BY A DIVORCE HE NEVER WANTED" AKA. "Not of Olympus" was born, which shortly afterwards evolved into my "fourth child". Today my "fourth child" is no longer a minor. Having matured and being over 21, it seeks to be free. Its prose and poetry, bound together as a single unit, tells a story. Something that started out many years ago as a father's love letter to his children, especially to his baby girl, ended up being much much more. Writing has not been my only passion. I bought my first 35mm SLR manual film camera 46 years ago, and I've been a "shutter bug" ever since. Having "the eye", I've gone from it being a hobby to, serious amateur, to semi-pro. Composing a shot is where it's all at for me. Today, the rest can be had via PhotoShop, manipulating color, lighting etc. etc.
