The Morgan Heart Chronicles 2: Heart Burn
What happened in 1692 in Salem?
Morgan is off for another family vacation, this one chosen by her grandmother, Dottie.
Spending two weeks at her grandmother's house, which used to serve as a bed and breakfast, seems like a good idea at the time until she learns that it will be only her and Addison visiting.
After meeting her grandmother's roommates - three elderly yet quirky women - they soon learn that not everything they were taught in school about the Salem Witch Trials had been the truth.
Dark secrets hold a firm grip on the women, and Morgan learns about her family tree - a tree that not only connects her family to the trials but also to Addison's line.
To add to their quest, and with clues left by her deceased grandfather, the kids discover that the trials were also linked to the Boston Tea Party.
And as if Morgan doesn't have enough to worry about, her growing feelings for the 'bane of her existence' keep getting in the way.
Morgan and Addison have two weeks to figure out how everything relates and how to unearth the truth that can free her family's curse.
Will Morgan and Addison have the courage to finish what they started? Follow along with 13-year-old Morgan Heart and her accomplices as they try to get all the pieces, put together all the clues, and stop the curse before time runs out.
