About the Book

What Good is it to hear the voice of God if you are not going to obey it? The Book begins with four questions and ends with three questions. The voice of the One True God (Yahweh) was and still is the creative force of the Universe. God spoke nine times Genesis Chapter One creating everything from light to man, who is the image of God, Genesis 1:1-27. Since man is created in the image of the One True God (Yahweh), man's voice creates either life or death, good or evil, or is constructive or destructive, Proverbs 18:21. Moses said in Numbers 11:29 that he wished that all of God's people were prophets and that God would put His Spirit in them. The believer who does not know the voice of the One True God can be lead astray by their emotions and other voices imitating the voice of the Holy Spirit. The more the believer has the mind, will and emotions under the subjection of the believer's spirit the easier it is to hear from God. The first part of Hearing the Voice of God is about the importance of the believer hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. Hearing the Voice of the Holy Spirit is hearing the Voice of the One True God (Yahweh). The voice of God is essential to every true believer. Hearing the voice of God is essential communion with God. If the believer does not know God's voice the there is no true communication between the believer and God. If the believer does not know the voice of God then all the believer does is talk because the believer is unable to listen. Then there is only a one-way communication. (A one-way communication is not true communion or communication.) It is essential for the believer and the congregation of believers to listen to the voice of God. The second part of Hearing The Voice Of God is the Eight ways the One True God (Yahweh) speaks to his people. There are eight ways the One True God speaks to his people to communicate his will. The first two ways are the primary ways the One True God (Yahweh), Yeshua HaMessiah (Jesus Christ), the Holy Spirit speaks to people, especially to the believer today. The One True God (Yahweh) uses the last six ways mainly as a confirmation of what he is speaking to the believer, has been instructing the believer, or has already placed in the believer's heart. Rarely does the Holy Spirit speak through one of the last six ways as an initial guidance or instructions. However, there are times when the One True God will use one of the last six ways when timing is intimate. In other words, when danger is intimate or timing is critical or immediate God may use one of the last six to emphasize the danger, His Will or instructions. The Third Part of Hearing The Voice Of God is about being Obedient to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Hearing the voice of God or the voice of LORD is an essential part of a covenant relationship of the believer with the One True God (Yahweh). Any hindrance of a believer hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit is sin. The sin of gossip, backbiting, false testimony (lying), or walking in anger or hate, or disobedience to the Holy Spirit (the voice of God) will hinder the believer from truly hearing the voice of the One True God (Yahweh).
About the Author: Thomas Moore was born in Peru, Indiana 1947. Thomas grew up in Athens, Indiana and attended Akron Schools in Akron, Indiana, and graduated in 1966 from Akron High School. In 1970, Moore graduated from UEI Electronics School with a degree in Electronics. The fall of 1970 through April, 2001, Moore worked at Delco Electronics as an Electronic Analyst and retired with just over 30 years of service. From 1972 through the fall of 1980, Moore was involved with drugs. The book Adventures With Jesus has some information about those years and how Thomas came to know Jesus (Yeshua) as his Savior and Lord. In October of 1980, Moore gave his heart fully to Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMessiah). This was a beginning of a new life and freedom from drugs. From the spring of 1981 through the spring of 1984, Moore began to attend classes taught by Doctor Lester Sumrall. He completed each class he attended with a college credit. The Holy Spirit began to teach Thomas Moore and move him to write some outline lesson series. In doing this the Holy Spirit was able to bring Moore into a greater depth of the Scriptures. In September of 1981, the Holy Spirit spoke to Moore to carry a Cross from South Bend, Indiana, to Indianapolis, Indiana. October of 1981, the walk began. Adventures With Jesus has the walk in detail along with Moore's testimony of how he came to the Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMessiah). Thomas B Moore has been an ordained minister since 1984. He has covered nearly 7300 miles in his walks with the Cross from 1981 through 2012, and has ministered to thousands of people through the ministry of carrying the Cross. There have been hundreds of people who have prayed a prayer of salvation. There have been many healed and set free from the things that had them bound.. Moore does not walk unless he gets direction from the LORD of where to walk from and to, along with a time to start. Each year is a different walk as the Lord brings forth changes in Moore and the ministry of carrying the Cross. In 1996, the Lord pointed to the highway in front of Moore saying this is your Pastorship. Until that time, Moore had worked as an Associate Pastor or Elder in several churches as the Lord directed him. Moore's sensitivity to the Holy Spirit has brought forth changes in people's lives. Not only those he ministered to but also those who had heard about the man carrying the Cross or read about the man carrying the Cross in the newspaper or saw him on a TV news broadcast.
