About the Author: Marilyn M. Fisher was born in Buffalo, New York, and moved to central Virginia as an adult. Considering this area as one of the most beautiful and intriguing parts of the United States, she chose it as the setting for her three novels, The Case of the Three Dead Horses, He Trots the Air, and Cross of Gold Road.
Fisher holds an MS, an MA, and a PhD in English education and British and American literature and has been a college professor of literature and composition in New York and Virginia. Her study of literature from the fourteenth through the twentieth centuries has shaped her approach to writing. She's also a voracious reader, with interests in American and British history and a love of mysteries of all kinds. She has been fascinated with horses since she began riding in Lockport, New York.
Fisher currently lives outside Nashville, Tennessee.
