About the Book

There is always been two sides to every story but usually when it comes to Hollywood, the media only shows one side of the story. The Hated Ones by new writer, Ryan Fu, shows the other side of the Hollywood scene. The entertainment industry is worth billions of dollars, which people want protect their valuable image but they can't control the public, who want to know what they are doing in their daily lives. In comes the wolves of Hollywood, the paparazzi, who are willing to do anything to get that coveted shot that might be worth thousands of dollars. The Hated Ones is a collection of stories and poems from celebrity photojournalist, Ryan Fu, who was been in the industry for the last ten years. It's a brand new perspective from the other side of the lens showing a different light of the entertainment industry. The story follows Ryan from his rough upbringing in the streets of Los Angeles to his time in the military fighting terrorists, then finally hitting the streets of Hollywood hunting world famous celebrities. A wise person once said the purpose of life is to experience everything to in order to gain knowledge because knowledge is power. So buy that ticket, shut up, and enjoy the ride!
About the Author: Ryan Fu is a 2nd generation Asian American that grew up in a loving family, which his parents never divorced but he still had a tough upbringing, growing up in the crack infested streets of L.A. He was great in school but his best lessons were taught on the streets. Eventually, his run-ins with the law caught up with him. He spent 10 weeks at boot camp in Illinois learning how to be a weapon in one of the worst winters in America. After graduating boot camp, he honed his skills as a Specialist at OS school in Virginia. Finishing top of his class he got posted in San Diego. But before he got to San Diego they transferred him immediately to the Middle East to put his training to use. He served 4 years in the military, did 3 tours in the Middle East and was honorably discharged. After leaving the military he learned he had PTSD after years living in country he saw a lot of fucked up shit. His therapist suggested he should do something to take his mind off it by taking up a hobby. While studying to be a veterinarian he saw a Britney Spears car chase that changed his life forever. The next day he quit his job, dropped out of school and became a paparazzi in which his first job was to work on Britney Spears. He learned quickly that there wasn't a big difference between a gunfire in Iraq and shooting celebrities in Beverly Hills. He quickly used his skills that he learned in the military to good use in the paparazzi game. He photographed everyone in Hollywood including the legends like Michael Jackson and Carrot Top. He spent the last 10 years as a paparazzi but now he is trying to be a storyteller, writing about his experience in the military and as a paparazzi. He currently is still a photojournalist and Editor-in-Chief for Be Like Water Production.
