Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1,7, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Institut für deutsche Literatur), Veranstaltung: Systemisches versus semantisches Lesen. Gattungsspezifische Textanalyse mit Hans Lösener, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "Ruhm. Ein Roman in neun Geschichten." ist ein Roman von Daniel Kehlmann und erschien im Jahr 2009. Das Buch besteht aus neun verschiedenen Kurzgeschichten und somit neun Kapiteln, in denen unterschiedliche Handlungen mit jeweils eigenen Protagonisten erzählt werden. In jedem Kapitel tauchen immer wieder die gleichen Figuren anderer Kapitel als Haupt- oder Nebenfiguren auf, oder werden lediglich einmal erwähnt, wodurch eine Kette an sich verzahnenden Geschichten entsteht, die voneinander abhängig sind und keinen einzelnen durchgängigen Handlungsstrang oder Protagonisten hergeben. Auf diese Weise spielt Kehlmann mit der Perspektive und lässt den Leser, durch das Verschmelzen der Grenzen von Wirklichkeit und Illusion, verirren. Der Titel "Ruhm" ist hierbei das Leitmotiv, das sich durch alle Geschichten als Grundthematik zieht. So gelangen alle Protagonisten, aufgrund des Ruhmes oder den Wunsch danach, in ihre bestimmte Situation, die ihnen zum Verhängnis wird. Ein Jahr später erschien das Buch "Lob: Über Literatur", in dem Kehlmann Kritik an unterschiedlichen Schriftstellern äußert und sich ihnen dadurch überordnet. Auch dieses Buch trägt einen Ein-Wort-Titel, der sich dem Begriff "Ruhm" gegenüberstellt und die Überordnung bestätigt. "Lob" kann dabei nur durch den Übergeordneten erteilt und "Ruhm" nur vom Übergeordneten erfahren werden. Beide setzen die Abhängigkeit voraus. Der Roman "Leo Richters Porträt", der noch vor "Ruhm" im Jahr 2009 erschien, handelt von dem fiktiven Autor Leo Richter, der ebenso in "Ruhm" einer der Protagonisten ist, auf den ich in dieser Hausarbeit weiter eingehen möchte.
