About the Author: Mary Ely Marrero-Pérez, escritora puertorriqueña, Cursó la Maestría en Creación Literaria con concentración en Narrativa de la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón de Santurce, Puerto Rico. Posee estudios graduados en Literatura del programa de maestría de Estudios Hispánicos de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras. Como parte del programa de intercambio lingüístico y cultural de Ramapo College of New Jersey, estudió en la Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo en Urbino, Italia. Martín, Historia de un zapato, ¿Te cuento un cuento?, Las mamas están revueltas: terapia frente al espejo y Juegos en el tiempo son obras de teatro que se han escenificado en el Centro Bellas Artes de Santurce Luis A. Ferré, el Teatro Alejandro Tapia y Rivera, el Teatro Coribantes y el Teatro Francisco Arriví bajo las producciones de las compañías 10 Entretenimiento Teatral y Laboratorio Teatral Sobre Ruedas. Martín recibió un premio Alejandro Tapia y Rivera a la Mejor producción musical infantil del 2009 producida por Gíbaro de Puerto Rico, coescrita con Eric González. Su cortometraje Despasión se exhibió en el Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico en el 2011 al ser parte del Primer Festival de Cortometrajes de la Academia Drama@Daniela Droz. "Reducido a metáfora" es parte de la antología de cuentos Lisboa directa al corazón de Ediciones del Viento y Grammata en España. El titular Diversidad Literaria de España ha publicado tres de sus microcuentos: "El poder de la poesía" es parte de la de la antología Sensaciones y sentidos, "Perspectivas" fue seleccionado para la colección Microterrores y "Sobre cómo pudo ser Dulcinea" es parte de la antología Breves heroicidades. Bajo el mismo titular español, su poema "Arte de pensarte" forma parte de la antología Versos desde el corazón. El cuento "Cambio de nombre" fue publicado en el Boletín Literario Rostro de Tinta de la Cofradía de Escritores de Puerto Rico y "Alimento que pulula" es parte de la primera antología de cuentos de la Cofradía de Escritores, titulada Latitud 18.5. El abraso: una memoria que no debía tener, su primera novela, fue publicada en el 2014.
