About the Author: Jacques Bulchand Gidumal es Profesor Titular de Emprendimiento y Turismo Digital de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). Es miembro del Instituto Universitario de Turismo y Desarrollo Económico Sostenible (TIDES). Después de 10 años en cargos de dirección y gestión de las TIC en empresas públicas y privadas, fue responsable durante 6 años de la dirección de TIC en la propia ULPGC. Posteriormente continuó su labor como docente, puesto en el que sigue hasta la actualidad. Imparte docencia de gestión de la tecnología en las organizaciones en el Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas, de turismo digital en el nivel de máster, y de creación de empresas de base tecnológica en las carreras de Ingenierías (Informática y Teleco). Sus tópicos de investigación son el turismo digital, las nuevas tecnologías en las empresas y la economía colaborativa. Imparte conferencias relacionadas con el uso de las TIC y los cambios que se están produciendo en los sectores productivos debidos a la tecnología. Ocasionalmente (demasiado ocasionalmente para su gusto) escribe en el blog jbulchand.com. En esta dirección web también está disponible su CV y los proyectos en los que participa. Santiago Melián González es Profesor Titular de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) de materias relacionadas con la dirección de recursos humanos tanto en grado como en postgrado universitarios. Es miembro del Instituto Universitario de Turismo y Desarrollo Económico Sostenible (TIDES). Tras comenzar en su carrera profesional en el sector de la consultoría se incorporó a la universidad donde, aparte de la labor docente, ha desempeñado diferentes cargos de gestión, entre ellos el de Vicerrector de Desarrollo Institucional y Nuevas Tecnologías. Ha sido director del programa de doctorado Gestión en la Nueva Economía, de la Maestría en Dirección y Administración de Empresas y de la Maestría en Dirección de Recursos Humanos y Administración de Personal, todos impartidos en modalidad de teleformación. Sus temas de investigación están relacionados con la interacción entre las TIC y el trabajo, los recursos humanos y la economía colaborativa.
