Zur Aufstellung einer Festigkeitshypothese fur metallische Werk- stoffe bei schwingender Beanspruchung versucht man, bekannte Anstrengungshypothesen fur statische Belastung auf den Fall der schwingenden Beanspruchung zu ubertragen. Dabei stoBt man je- doch auf Schwierigkeiten, die das Formulieren einer allgemein- gultigeren Hypothese bisher verhindert haben [1]. Dies liegt daran, daB man Versagensbedingungen fur statische Belastung auf den Fall der schwingenden Beanspruchung nur unter der Einschran- kung ubertragen kann, daB sich der Spannungstensor als Orts- und Zeitfunktion an jedem Punkt des Werkstoffs nicht dreht, d. h., daB seine Koordinaten synchron schwingen. Diese Bedingung besagt also, daB sich die Hauptachsen des Tensors, d. h. die Hauptnormalspannungsrichtungen, wahrend der Schwingbeanspru- chung nicht andern. Die Hauptwerte des Tensors, d. h. die Haupt- normalspannungen, durfen sich nur in GroBe und Vorzeichen un- terscheiden, mussen jedoch dem gleichen zeitlichen Verlauf mit gleicher Frequenz ohne Phasenverschiebung folgen. Diese Bedin- gungen sind bei einachsiger Schwingbeanspruchung stets erfullt, bei mehrachsigem Spannungszustand jedoch nur selten. Hier muBte man entweder die Festigkeitshypothese dem einzelnen Belastungs- fall durch Modifikationen anpassen, z. B. [1,2], oder die durch den einzelnen Belastungsfall hervorgerufenen Verhaltnisse der- art angenahert betrachten, daB die obengenannten Bedingungen als erfullt angesehen werden [3]. Ein vom Belastungsfall unab- hangiges Rechenverfahren zur Bestimmung der Versagensbedingun- gen bei mehrachsiger schwingender Beanspruchung fehlt bisher, ein Mangel, der nicht zuletzt darauf zuruckzufuhren ist, daB man sich mit den zeitlichen Spannungsablaufen bei beliebiger Orientierung im schwingend belasteten Werkstoff nicht genugend beschaftigt hat.
